Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio

The Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trios are easily identifiable and come in a range of colours, but today I'm going to review the very classic '01 Gris Dandy' trio. Although the trio may look pretty ordinary I can assure you it's not, as it is really something quite special. There are three great colours in this little pot (obviously, after all it is a trio) and they are so unique and pretty. The lightest of the shades is a very subtle shimmery silver, and although it doesn't add much colour it is great for highlighting and adding a little bit of glitter, without it being too overpowering. The next shade is a lovely dark grey colour which works really well on its own, it gives a very sultry look but also adds shimmer which again looks very pretty. My favourite of the three is definitely the charcoal black shade as it is so versatile, not only can you use it as part of a smoky eye look, but if you use an angled eye liner brush you can also use it as eye liner, the colour pay off is fantastic and these shadows stay in place, meaning you can create a perfect eye liner look or a more 'smudged' eye liner look and it will still look great. This little trio comes with your classic double ended eye shadow applicator, but I feel that you can create a much better look if you use eye shadow brushes. These retail for (I believe) £7.99 and are great for creating a simple and classic smoky eye look.
