Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

I was never really that interested in body scrubs, it's not that I didn't think they'd work or that I was too lazy to use them, it's just that they were something I just ignored, and so when I got the Sugar Crush Body Scrub in my Christmas Gift set I wanted to see if it was any good. Firstly, this scrub smells a-mazing, as the tub states it contains smashed brown sugar, sweet lime, almond oil and macadamia grains and really it smells like chocolate limes (the little hard-boiled lime sweets with a chocolate centre). Scent aside this product really is good, I don't have really dry skin and so I don't know how well it'll work if you do, but it left me with really soft skin (especially if used with body butter) and looks like it will last a really long time. The tub contains 300ml and the product has a putty-like texture, meaning you really don't need to use much product each time, you also only need to use this product once or twice a week and so I envision it will last. As far as physical exfoliators go this product is actually pretty gentle and the scent lingers even after you've washed it off, and so I'd definitely recommend you check it out.

Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash 500ml

I am a big fan of these Soap & Glory shower gels, and so when I got this in a gift set at Christmas I was really excited to try it out. The description says "Our zesty-fresh and revitalising Orangeasm Body Wash is scented with fresh green mandarin, Sicilian lemon and sweet orange peel oils". I haven't actually used much of this shower gel, because I'm not quite sure about the scent, and I feel it would be a nicer scent to use in the summer. The shower gel isn't a classic orange scent, it is quite zesty and leafy, and so although it doesn't smell artificial like some orange scented products do it is a scent that takes some getting used to, especially if you're more of a fan of sweeter scents. Really though you cannot fault the product itself, it softens skin an foams up well. Although this is a new bottle I have previously used up the Rich and Foamous (a gorgeous, sweet biscuit scent) shower gel that comes in the same bottle. For the price you get a generous 500ml, which for me (a self confessed shower addict) lasted over three months. The pump is also very convenient and it means you don't use more product than you need. Definitely go and pick up one of these 500ml bottles as there are a range of different scents available.

Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara

This was one of the first S&G make up items that I tried, and it claims to creates "amazingly, longer, fuller, fabulous lashes.". The first thing to note is the fact that the brush is pretty huge, seriously, it's about the size of my eye. Although it may seen difficult to manoeuvre the wand at first (especially if you're used to smaller wands) it really is quite easy. The bristles are 'hair' like which means every lash is coated evenly. There really isn't very much to say about this mascara, because it does the job it's supposed to do. It adds volume to the lashes and is very black and has a great impact. It isn't the cheapest mascara but it does add volume and looks great.

Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter

I really love Soap & Glory products, I think that they're great value for money and a majority of the products smell incredible, and so I was so happy to receive a big Soap & Glory gift set for Christmas. According to S&G "This incredible body-wash-and-butter in one is made up of 25% moisture oils and butters including sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, macadamia nut oil and cocoa & shea butters. Fragranced with delectable pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla". This body butter is really great, it smells so sweet and nutty and really foams up well in the shower (especially if used with a body puff) and leaves the skin feeling soft. It's no miracle worker for dry skin though, it does soften skin to some extent but probably wouldn't be great for getting rid of very dry skin. My only slight issue with this is that it is 50p more than the 500ml bottles of S&G and you only get 250ml, and so I don't envision this lasting for too long, however you only really need to use a small amount and so it should last a relatively long time. Since this product foams up well it can also be used for shaving (as stated on the bottle). If you want a creamy, sweet smelling luxury shower butter then I'd definitely recommend Whipped Clean.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow

I love neutral eye shadows, and to be honest they're the only ones I use, they're great for every day wear and are subtle and pretty, and so this gel eye shadow by Maybelline is just my cup of tea. These color tattoo eye shadows are great, I picked up the shade 'On and On Bronze' and it is a really pretty shimmery bronze colour which I feel works especially well with blue eyes. For the price you get a lot of product in these little pots because you only need a tiny amount to cover the whole eyelid. They blend really well and they stay put (I'm not sure whether they'd stay on for 24 hours because I have never left make up on that long, but they last all day and do the job they're supposed to do) and there is also a great colour range. I'd imagine that these will also work well as eye liner due to their longevity and colour pay off. I can definitely recommend these.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Pressed powders are a pretty staple make up item, they aren't that exciting, but you still need one that will do a good job at keeping you make up on your face, and this product does just that. I purchased this powder in 'transparent' which means you aren't necessarily adding any colour to your face, but just setting your make up. Don't let the fact it is transparent put you off, because it isn't white and chalky on the skin and it looks really natural. There isn't really much to say about this product, it helps to reduce the appearance of pores and lasts well, and so I'd definitely recommend it. RRP: £3.99

Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzing Powder

I never really wore much bronzer, because I'm rather pale and I always felt like it would make me look orange and overly tanned on my face, but after seeing all of the hype around this Bourjois bronzing powder I decided to give it a go, and I'm not disappointed. Firstly the packaging is so cute, because not only does it look like a little book or a little bar of chocolate, but it also has a really great magnetic closure to keep the product secure. The actual product looks like chocolate and smells like vanilla and it really does a great job at giving the cheeks a subtle glow. I apply this with a kabuki brush and it really makes me look less pale and like I've actually been outside. If you haven't tried this yet I'd definitely recommend it, even if you're unsure about bronzer, it's so easy to work with and I feel like it would work well on a majority of skin tones. This product retails at £7.99.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation

I've never been a massive fan of foundation, I think it looks great and can really enhance you features, but to be honest I'm pretty lazy when it comes to make up, especially early in the morning. I don't have the time nor the patience to blend and buff in foundation when I've hardy even woken up, but I am surprisingly in love with this product. This was one of the first Bourjois products I have tried and wasn't sure what to expect, but it really is great. I picked the lightest shade (Vanille Clair) and I think it matches my fair skin tone pretty perfectly. The consistency is fantastic and so it blends into the skin really well, and doesn't look obvious or 'cakey'. It also smells so unique and fruity, if you don't like scented make up products then perhaps this isn't for you, but honestly the product is that good that the scent is something you can look over, but personally I love it. The coverage of this foundation isn't high but it gives a great amount of coverage for average day wear, especially if used with concealer and powder. The bottle has a pump which is great for convenience and hygiene reasons, and it is a generous 30 ml bottle. It claims to last for 16 hours, and although I can't attest to that as I never wear my make up for that long it is a long lasting foundation and it retails at £10.99.

Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trio

The Bourjois Smoky Eyes Trios are easily identifiable and come in a range of colours, but today I'm going to review the very classic '01 Gris Dandy' trio. Although the trio may look pretty ordinary I can assure you it's not, as it is really something quite special. There are three great colours in this little pot (obviously, after all it is a trio) and they are so unique and pretty. The lightest of the shades is a very subtle shimmery silver, and although it doesn't add much colour it is great for highlighting and adding a little bit of glitter, without it being too overpowering. The next shade is a lovely dark grey colour which works really well on its own, it gives a very sultry look but also adds shimmer which again looks very pretty. My favourite of the three is definitely the charcoal black shade as it is so versatile, not only can you use it as part of a smoky eye look, but if you use an angled eye liner brush you can also use it as eye liner, the colour pay off is fantastic and these shadows stay in place, meaning you can create a perfect eye liner look or a more 'smudged' eye liner look and it will still look great. This little trio comes with your classic double ended eye shadow applicator, but I feel that you can create a much better look if you use eye shadow brushes. These retail for (I believe) £7.99 and are great for creating a simple and classic smoky eye look.

Rimmel Colour Rush Balms

So, for my first review I'm going to talk about the Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms. These are like a hybrid between a lip gloss, a lipstick and a lip balm, and honestly they're great. They're really pigmented, moisturising and there is a great shade range. I picked up three shades (from left to right) called On Fire, Rumour Has It and Make Me Blush and they are really pretty colours. On Fire is a very subtle corally red and Make Me Blush is a very 'Barbie' pink, but my favourite of them all has to be Rumour Has It (hence why all of the silver lettring has disappeared, it's well loved). Rumour Has It is a gorgeous subtle fuscia colour and really suits a paler skin tone, and it is so easy to wear. These balms are great because they last a long time (the 'balmy' feel they leave doesn't last for too long, but the colour stays) and they don't dry out your lips unless you wear them for a really long time. You don't need to sharpen them because they have a twist up bottom and they're the perfect size to just slip into your pocket or bag and reapply whenever you need to. I honestly think that these are great balms for the price and I definitely want to purchase more :)
