Day 5 - Yankee Candle Wax Melts

I'm now going to review something a little bit different, and that's the Yankee candle wax burner and wax melts. Now anybody who knows me knows that I am obsessed with candles, and I have way more candles than one person could ever need, and so I like to switch around the candles that I burn depending on the season. Therefore I decided to buy a wax burner, because it was cheaper than buying lots of new candles and meant that I could change the fragrance whenever I wanted.

I bought this lovely white porcelain burner from Asda Home as part of the Yankee Simply Home range, it came with three wax melts as well (apple crumble, raspberry and toasted marshmallow) and was only £10. I also picked up a couple more wax tarts (strawberry shortcake and vanilla frosting) to go with it. Considering the medium Simply Home Yankee candles are £9 I thought that this was a pretty good deal, because now I don't need to buy lots of Yankee candles and try to find room for them.

My wax burner sits neatly on my side and makes a nice decoration, even though it's practical as well. All that you need to do is break up your wax melt and put a piece into the top of the burner and then put a tea light underneath and you're ready to go. I like to use large tea lights instead of the small ones because they burn for much longer.

When you want to change the wax you just need to soak the burner in warm water and it will pop right out, ready for you to start burning a new melt.

These give off quite a strong scent, and are definitely worth having a look at if you don't want a lot of candles in your house, but still want the Great scents that they give off. Best of all, you could even mix and match scents to create your own custom fragrance.

You can buy the Simply Home range from Asda and other selected stores.
